By Greg Stobart at Wembley

  • Carlo Cudicini

    2.00

    Carlo Cudicini

Handed a start ahead of Friedel and won't be pleased to have conceded five against his former club, especially Lampard's free-kick which caught him out.

  • Benoit Assou-Ekotto
    3
    4
    2.50

    Benoit Assou-Ekotto

Strong in one-on-one situations but could have offered more support for Bale in the final third. Cleared well off the line for Mata's goal.

  • Kyle Walker
    2
    5
    3.00

    Kyle Walker

Looked shaky early on and make a couple of poor errors, especially one that gifted the ball to Kalou. Seemed to calm down and was a threat when he bombed forward.

  • Ledley King
    1
    4
    2.50

    Ledley King

Did a decent enough job against Drogba for the first hour but looked slow and clumsy as Spurs crumbled.

  • William Gallas
    1
    5
    2.00

    William Gallas

Bullied too easily by Drogba in the 44th minute as the Ivorian smashed home the opener. Never seemed to be up with the pace of the game.

  • Aaron Lennon
    4

    3.00

    Aaron Lennon

The winger's pace and trickery caused Chelsea problems but he made some poor decisions in the final third. Clever ball for Van der Vaart when the Dutchman's header was cleared off the line.

  • Gareth Bale
    4
    4
    3.00

    Gareth Bale

Showed he had the beating of Bosingwa early on and troubled the Chelsea back four when he got in his stride. Scored the goal that temporarily got Spurs back in the game but didn't see enough of the ball.

  • Luka Modric
    1
    11
    2.00

Luka Modric Flop of the Match

Ineffective for much of the game and delivered few decisive passes despite some nice link-up play with Bale. Let his head drop in the final 15 minutes.

  • Rafael van der Vaart
    3
    3
    3.50

    Rafael van der Vaart

Drifted into good positions and twice went close to scoring in the first-half, seeing a header cleared off the line before a cross for Adebayor came back off the post. Replaced by Defoe 15 minutes from time.

  • Scott Parker
    4
    4
    3.00

    Scott Parker

A typically robust performance from the midfielder as he pugnaciously protected the back four. Tended to dally too long when in possession but delivered a lovely ball to Adebayor for the Spurs goal.

  • Emmanuel Adebayor
    2
    4
    3.00

    Emmanuel Adebayor

A threat in the first-half as he linked up Tottenham's play, but should have got something on the Van der Vaart delivery that hit the post. Did all the hard work for Bale's goal and didn't stop running.

    Petr Cech

Lucky not to be sent-off after bringing down Adebayor in the build-up to Bale's goal, which could have resulted in a penalty and red card. Solid on the whole.

  • Ashley Cole

    Ashley Cole

Solid defensive display although he was pinned back by the Spurs winger's pace.

  • David Luiz
    6
    6
    2.50

    David Luiz

A couple of dodgy moments but a generally comfortable defensive display until Bale's opener, when he lost track of Adebayor and, in the process, suffered a knee injury that ended his evening.

  • John Terry

    1
    3.50

    John Terry

The Chelsea captain was caught flat-footed when Spurs attacked with pace but made some vital contributions including a brilliant block on the line.

  • José Bosingwa

    José Bosingwa

The Portuguese full-back struggled against Bale's pace early on but he settled down.

  • Frank Lampard
    13
    1
    3.50

    Frank Lampard

A bright and tidy display from the veteran as he passed accurately and intelligently, mainly from slightly deeper positions than he is used to. Stunning free-kick from 30 yards for Chelsea's fourth goal.

  • John Obi Mikel
    9
    5
    3.00

    John Obi Mikel

Sat at the base of the Chelsea midfield and played an unspectacular yet important role, breaking up Spurs attacks and denying them space in the final third. Should have been sent-off for a late kick on Parker.

  • Ramires
    8
    2
    3.50

    Ramires

The Brazilian panicked a little on the ball but was up and down the vast Wembley pitch all afternoon and clinched a place in the final with a classy finish. Important defensive role tracking back against Bale.

  • Didier Drogba
    21
    4
    4.00

Didier Drogba Top of the Match

The Ivorian was chosen ahead of Didier Drogba and broke the deadlock in the 43rd minute with a stunning strike as he bullied William Gallas and then smashed the ball past Cudicini was he weaker left foot. A classic performance and he must now be in line to start against Barcelona.

  • Juan Mata
    13
    2
    3.50

    Juan Mata

The Spaniard 'scored' Chelsea's second goal in controversial fashion in the 49th minute, with referee Martin Atkinson awarding the strike even though it clearly didn't cross the line. Poor touch let him down when he could have scored in the first-half but produced a gorgeous pass for Ramires' decisive strike.

  • Salomon Kalou
    9
    2
    3.50

    Salomon Kalou

Frustrated the Chelsea fans with some wayward shooting but played a key role for the Blues, especially on the break. Also tracked back well to help Cole against Lennon.
