The Protectors boss has demanded his team improve their performance in order to grab the crucial points against the Thai Premier League runners-up

Singapore Cup holders Home United are desperate for the three points against Chonburi at Bishan Stadium in their final match of the 2012 AFC Cup in Group G on Tuesday as they bid for a home Round of 16 game.

The Protectors coach Lee Lim-Saeng remained optimistic his squad will grab the points in order to avoid the runners-up spot which requires them to travel to the Middle East in a knockout match of next stage.

"Tomorrow’s game is crucial as we want to play at home in Singapore in the Round of 16 and not have to travel to the Middle East to play, that is why it is so important for us to get a win," he told reporters.

"When we played away at Chonburi, our players seemed nervous especially playing in front of their fans. But I think that they will play with more confidence."

He added: "It is an important game and we cannot give up."

Meanwhile Chonburi coach Withaya Laohakul hopes several players who have Singaporean football experience can lead the team with their knowledge.

"We have a couple of players, Therdsak Chaiman and Kengne Ludovick who have played in Singapore before and can provide us with the benefit of their experience," he said.

"Therdsak is very experienced and I believe he can control tomorrow’s game. We will try our best because we have set a high target for our club. We beat the eventual champions (Nasaf) last year but this year, we aim to reach the final."

Previously, Home United grabbed a 2-1 away victory in their Hong Kong trip against Citizen, while Chonburi secured three points after a 1-0 win over Myanmar side Yangon United.
