| PERFORMANCE OF THE WEEKEND |
Sydney United 58
Bonnyrigg White Eagles' winning start to the season came to an abrupt end on the weekend when Sydney United pulled off a fantastic performance to defeat the White Eagles 1-0 in a very tight contest. Elsid Barkhousir's goal on 66 minutes was enough to separate the two sides with United moving back into the top-five with a hard-fought three points. Despite the loss, Bonnyrigg remain first on the table, three points ahead of South Coast Wolves.
| AFTERTHOUGHTS |
"A huge result for Sydney United 58 against Bonnyrigg marked the highlight of the weekend. Without Steve Hayes and Ben Vidaic, it was left to Elsid Barkhousir to net a 66th-minute winner. It ended Bonnyrigg's perfect start to the season. Meanwhile, former Central Coast Mariners and North Queensland Fury midfielder Panny Nikas continued his bright start to the campaign, taking his tally for the season to five goals with a brace in Sutherland's win."
- Dejan
"The big talking point of the round was Sydney United's win over Bonnyrigg White Eagles, but another one was Mark Rudan's first game in charge of Rockdale City Suns, ending in victory over Manly United. Rudan took over mid-week from Wally Savor and helped guide Rockdale to their first win of the season."
- David
