Sunderland will be without Kieran Richardson and Sebastian Larsson (both hernia) who both underwent surgery this week ruling them out for the season, while captain Lee Cattermole is also expected to miss out with a knee injury. Craig Gardner is unavailable after being sent off against Aston Villa last week.
David Vaughan and Fraizer Campbell are in line to replace Larsson and Gardner in the starting line-up but could face competition from Ahmed Elmohamady and David Meyler.
Owen Coyle will have doubts over Mark Davies (leg), Ryo Miyaichi (shoulder) and Chris Eagles (hamstring) who all picked up injuries in the Trotters' midweek win over Aston Villa.
Darren Pratley is also struggling with a virus which could also rule him out of the clash with the Black Cats, while Korean winger Chung Yong-Lee is back in training after missing the entire season so far with a knee injury

His delivery from wide areas have been outstanding and the source of many of the Black Cats goals in the past few months whilst the 22-year-old has also shown a eye for goal himself.

The former Manchester City man will look to provide service for the likes of Ngog and Klasnic to feed off and is likely to cut inside and go for goal himself if the opportunity arises.
Sunderland have looked like a team already on the proverbial beach in recent weeks with little to play for in their season, particularly up front where they’ve struggled to find the net.
Bolton are scrapping from every point and will have been boosted by Tuesday’s win over Aston Villa, they need to keep winning to survive this season. The Trotters haven’t beaten the Black Cats since 2008 and Saturday would be a great time to end that run.
