Manchester City boss Roberto Mancini gives injury update on Craig Bellamy and Joleon Lescott

Manchester City manager Roberto Mancini gave an update on the escalating injury situation that has engulfed Eastlands recently, confirming that Craig Bellamy has been added to the list of players currently sidelined from action.
Mancini is having to cope with the absence of a number of first-team stars, including Vincent Kompany (groin), Micah Richards and Roque Santa Cruz (both calf), David Ball (metatarsal) and Michael Johnson (knee).
Joleon Lescott, who is also currently nursing a knee problem, could secure a return to the bench this week, after emerging from 45 minutes of football on Sunday unscathed.
Mancini, speaking at a pre-match press conference ahead of the club's home tie against Bolton Wanderers, confirmed: "Craig [Bellamy] has a little problem in his knee. I think, for me, it is a little problem. I hope, [he is only sidelined] for days.
"Joleon [Lescott] improves day after day. Yesterday he played a match for 45 minutes. If possible, he can go on the bench on Tuesday or Saturday."
Meanwhile, the Italian - who has masterminded eight wins during his tenure as Citizens boss - told The Manchester Evening News that he is unafraid of altering his line-ups from fixture to fixture.

"To me the name of the player doesn't matter, it's whether he is prepared to fight hard on the pitch. Adam [Johnson] will probably start against Bolton and Patrick [Vieira] will probably start, as long as he is okay with his calf.
"Patrick and Adam both played well and in future will be important players."
