Mario Balotelli is saving a goal for Chelsea when Inter welcome them to the San Siro in 11 days time for the Champions League round of 16 first-leg tie.

The 19-year-old already boasts a better strike rate than Alessandro Del Piero and Francesco Totti had when they were his age, and is determined to outline his credentials in Europe against the Premier League giants, having already proven his value in Serie A.

"I will score against Chelsea," Balotelli told Il Corriere Dello Sport. "[Alessandro] Del Piero and [Francesco] Totti are great champions and I think they are the best strikers.

"Having scored more than them is a pleasure for me. I have played 52 games in Serie A, but not all have been from the start.

"If I had started more games then I would have scored even more goals."

Balotelli has scored 17 goals in 52 league games for Inter, who currently top Serie A.
