Martin O'Neill will consider £10m-plus offers for Aston Villa striker John Carew - report
Martin O'Neill is allegedly welcoming bids for Aston Villa striker John Carew, according to a report in The People.
The Norway international is rumoured to be disenchanted at falling down the pecking order at Villa Park, highlighted by his role as a substitute in the club's League Cup final at the weekend; a tie they lost 2-1 to Manchester United.
A powerfully-framed targetman, Carew joined Villa from Olympique Lyonnais in 2007.
He has two years left on his contract, and Martin O'Neill - The People claim - would be willing to grant the 30-year-old a summer exit should he receive bids in excess of £10 million.
Carew has returned eight goals in 27 appearances in all competitions for Villa this season.
