The 26-year-old Colombian striker scored twice to help secure the Europa League trophy for Atletico Madrid in a display which may have left many top clubs droolingRadamel Falcao delivered a virtuoso performance in the Europa League final against Athletic Bilbao, in a performance that will have left many wondering if Atletico Madrid will be able to hold onto their star man.
The Colombian international only moved to the club from Porto at the beginning of the campaign, for a fee believed to be around £35 million, but his form since then has prompted several large clubs to cast admiring glances in his direction.
Falcao produced two superb goals in the final to seal victory but it was not only the nature of his strikes that will have caught the eye of potential suitors.
The 26-year-old gave a textbook performance of how to play the lone striker role in a counterattacking side and has now struck 35 goals in his first season at Atletico.
Falcao has bagged an impressive 23 of those in the league to sit behind only Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo in the La Liga goalscoring charts.
With the likes of Real Madrid, Manchester City and Paris Saint-Germain all rumoured to be interested in securing the services of a top striker in the summer, not to mention long-term fans Chelsea and Inter, interest in the Atletico frontman could be set to increase dramatically.
So have Falcao's goalscoring exploits in the league and Europe this season ensured his stay at Atletico will be a short one? Will the hefty price tag put off any potential buyers? Vote in our poll, leave your comments below and get in touch via our Facebook and Twitter pages
