The prolific striker is determined to end the season on a high by winning both finals his side are in, while stressing that he's not thinking about the top-scorer awardMario Gomez has insisted that Bayern Munich are determined to beat Chelsea in the final of the Champions League on May 19.
The Bavarians eliminated Real Madrid in the semi-finals to book their ticket for the showpiece at the Allianz Arena, and the striker has made it clear that they are determined to lift the trophy in their home ground.
"We are going into the Champions League final to win it, regardless of whether Chelsea are having a good or a bad season. I'd say it's 50-50 at this point who will win it," Gomez stated at a press conference.
The 26-year-old then went on to discuss the upcoming DFB Pokal final against Borussia Dortmund on May 12, and stressed that Bayern want to win the German cup too and complete a double.
"We have to give our utmost to win both finals. Dortmund might have won the last four games against us, but the final is played on neutral ground and it's all or nothing," he stated. "We are desperate to win our first title of the season."
