The Belgium international has already stated that he will join an English club this summer and the Ligue 1 outfit know full well that they will struggle to find a worthy successorLille director Frederic Paquet freely admits that the club will not be able to replace the "rare and special" talent that is Eden Hazard, but he is confident that Rudi Garcia's men will be able to challenge for the title next season without their star man.
The much-coveted Belgium international is set on a summer switch to the Premier League, and his current employers' sole concern at this point is ensuring that the wantaway winger does not leave on the cheap.
However, Paquet is well aware that no matter how much money Lille receive, they will not be able to unearth a player with the exact same attributes as Hazard.
"A player like Eden is something rare and special," he told RMC Sport. "This is someone truly exceptional.
"Whether it's with Hazard or someone else, you can never find a clone of the player who leaves.
"We will do things differently next season, but there is still all of the quality of [coach] Rudi Garcia and we will do everything to build a competitive team with quality players to be in contention for the title again."
Hazard, who has spent his entire professional career with Lille, has been heavily linked with Manchester City, Manchester United and Chelsea in recent months.
