Drogheda-born star has enjoyed a career resurgence with the Royals who will return to the Premier League next season
The former Ireland international has made 33 appearances for the Royals this season and scored four goals. He is now set to ink a new 12-month contract with the club following their promotion back to the Premier League after a four-year absence.
It is the third straight year that Harte has been included in a PFA Football League Team of the Year. In 2010 he made the League One XI when he was with Carlisle and has been voted by his peers in the Championship side for two years running with his current club.
Harte also made the Premier League Team of the Year with Leeds United back in 2000. Despite Reading's march to Championship glory, he is the only player from Brian McDermott's team to make the PFA best XI of the season.
In League One three Irish players made the division's Team of the Year with Stephen Gleeson (MK Dons), Stephen Quinn (Sheffield United) and Darren Potter (Sheffield Wednesday) earning plaudits from their fellow professionals. Derry-born Eunan O'Kane made the League Two XI after a fine season with Torquay.
