Calling all armchair managers! The time has come to pit your wits against Sir Alex Ferguson and see whether he agrees with your team selection for Manchester United's League Cup final match against Aston Villa.

Sir Alex Ferguson faces the difficult choice between putting his best players on the pitch or staying loyal to the youngsters that got him this far. Starlets Darron Gibson and Ritchie De Laet have both featured, while the Scot is in a quandry about his goalkeeping selection.

Edwin Van der Sar is fit and rested after sitting out the West Ham United match, but Tomasz Kuszczak was selected for the earlier rounds.

Ferguson's hand will be forced in part by the injuries to Rio Ferdinand, Anderson and Ryan Giggs. Nani also misses out on the showpiece due to the suspension picked up for his red card in the league meeting with Aston Villa.

A blend of youth and experience will take to the park to face Martin O'Neill's charges. Rafael da Silva should usurp Gary Neville, while Wes Brown is in pole position to continue alongside the returning Nemanja Vidic.

In midfield, Gibson started last season's Wembley victory over Tottenham Hotspur. After a solid performance against the Hammers, the Republic of Ireland international will look to rack up consecutive starts.

Availability:

Goalkeepers: Edwin Van der Sar, Tomasz Kuszczak, Ben Foster.

Defenders:
Rafael da Silva, Gary Neville, Wes Brown, Jonny Evans, Nemanja Vidic, Ritchie De Laet, Patrice Evra, Fabio da Silva.

Midfielders: Antonio Valencia, Gabriel Obertan, Darren Fletcher, Michael Carrick, Paul Scholes, Darron Gibson, Ji-Sung Park.

Attackers: Dimitar Berbatov, Michael Owen, Wayne Rooney, Mame Biram Diouf.

Leave your team selection in the comments below, using semi-colons to separate positions and working from right to left. For example, here’s Goal.com UK's preferred line-up, using a fluid 4-4-2 formation:

Kuszczak; Rafael da Silva, Brown, Vidic, Evra; Valencia, Gibson, Fletcher Park; Berbatov, Rooney.

Substitutes: Foster, Evans, Fabio da Silva, Scholes, Obertan, Owen, Diouf.
