German side's chief Carl-Edgar Jarchow admits his side are looking into the possibility of signing the Liverpool forward, who looks set to leave Anfield in the summer
Hamburg chairman Carl-Edgar Jarchow has revealed his interest in opening talks with Liverpool winger Dirk Kuyt.Kuyt, 31, has been heavily linked with a move from Anfield in the summer and has been rumoured to be in the thoughts of various clubs, including former side Feyenoord.
"Until now there have been no negotiations," Jarchow told reporters. "We have to sit down with the player and his agent to find a solution.
"The level of wages in the Premier League is very different to ours. Whether there is the possibility of a move remains to be seen."

| 15/2 | Dirk Kuyt is 15/2 with Sportingbet to score the first goal when Liverpool meet Swansea on Sunday. |
The chairman of the club hasn't been the only person to welcome such links, with Hamburg manager Thorsten Fink having also praised the Dutchman.
"He has class, and he is also a fighter," Fink told German sports magazine Kicker. "There is nothing more that needs to be said about the quality of this player. Whether this is something we feel we want to commit to, we will see."
Since moving to Liverpool in 2006, the experienced forward has gone onto make 283 appearances for the Merseyside club, scoring 71 goals in the process.
