The Naze Millionaires is preparing to get a favourable result against the Congolese side
Heartland’s opponents in this weekend's CAF Confederation Cup game, AC Leopards, are billed to arrive in Owerri on Friday. The Congolese team will come aboard a chartered aircraft as they seek for a favourable first leg outing against the Owerri-based side.
The game which is scheduled for the Dan Anyiam Stadium, will give players of Heartland the opportunity to win with a large margin so as to make the second leg a formality.
Media Officer of the Owerri side, Cajetan Nkwopara told Goal.com that an advance team of the Congolese had already arrived Owerri for the ground work before the main team’s arrival tomorrow.
"Our opponents [AC Leopards0 will be arriving tomorrow. We learnt they are coming with a chartered flight and their advance team have already arrived to wet the ground for their arrival.
"We are doing fine in Nnewi and are training seriously and all we are waiting for is for the day to come so we can win well. I am optimistic that we are going to win the game and make the second leg a mere formality,” Nkwopara enthused.
Heartland defeated US Hakam of Cameroon to qualify for this stage of the competition.
