  Had to be wary of Risdon in the first half, meaning his ability to push forward was lessened. Delivered a perfect ball for Nichols' first-half chance and was decent going forward, though was occasionally sloppy in possession.

  Took advantage of Andrezinho's absence to push past Howarth on wing on countless occasions. Went very close in first half when he piled forward, and was unfortunate to have scored an own goal. Never stopped running.

  Busy from start, and snapped at every Glory heel. Was taken off after minutes as Postecoglou searched for match winners.

  Mitch Nichols

  Did not see much of ball in early stages, but sparked to life after 20 minutes. Conduit for most of Roar's attacking moves in first half and went close on 37 minutes, but standards slipped when fatigue set in as the game ebbed towards closure. Never stopped running, however.

  Thomas Broich

  The man the Roar needed after they went behind. Stylish in first half without being overly influential, but began second with intent and went very close with lashed shot. The later the match went on, the greater his impact. Provided the cross for the equaliser and was the encounter's game-breaker.

  Battled to find space from Heffernan. Flirted with making an impact, but skied only real chance of note well over in second half.

  Besart Berisha

  Started with intent and made few friends among the Glory players. Did not seem to be his match, however, until he finally lost van den Brink to head past Vukovic. Will be forever regarded by many as a villain after diving to win his second goal and the winner, then ill-advisedly celebrating past the Perth bench. Roar fans will not care a jot, however.

  Well positioned for Nichols' first-half chance, superbly tipped Franjic's shot wide and beat Broich's powerful effort away well in the second half. Could do nothing for Berisha's equaliser, then kept out James Meyer's late strike. At fault for nothing.

  Saw little of ball as main aim seemed to be keeping Berisha quiet. Lost him for the equaliser, however, though was perhaps brought undone by Broich's perfect cross.

  Captain fantastic worked incessantly to keep space for Brisbane at a minimum. Passing was tidy, but found creating chances difficult. Did all he could to guide his side to victory.
