The 29-year-old Brazilian has failed to make his mark at the Emirates this season but he will not be returning home to link up with the Glorioso, according to his representativeAndre Santos has rubbished a report linking the Arsenal full-back with a move to Botafogo, insisting that there is no chance of the mooted transfer happening.
It was claimed that the Rio de Janeiro-based outfit were considering launching a bid to sign the Brazilian at the end of the season.
However, while his client has struggled to nail down a regular berth in Arsene Wenger's starting line-up since his arrival in north London last summer, Carlos Leite insists that the player will not be joining the Glorioso.
"There is zero chance of Andre Santos playing for Botafogo at the moment," the agent is quoted as saying by Lancenet.
In addition, Botafogo vice-president Andre Silva stated that the former Fenerbahce man is not one of their transfer targets.
"Andre is our friend, but he will not be coming to Botafogo right now," he explained.
Andre Santos, who has been capped 22 times by the Selecao, began his career at Figueirense but made his name with Corinthians before moving to Turkey in 2009.
