Report: Barcelona sets sights on AC Milan defender Thiago Silva
The Catalan giants are looking to strengthen their defense this summer, and have earmarked the Brazilian as the perfect signing and they believe a 30m euros bid may be enough

Brazil international Thiago Silva has again caught the attention of Barcelona with his excellent performances for AC Milan in the 2011-12 campaign, Catalan daily Sport reports.
The powerful defender revealed last summer that he had held talks with the Catalans, but a transfer never materialized at the time.
Nevertheless, the Champions League holders have not given up hopes of signing the center back as it is looking to strengthen their back line, and have reportedly made Thiago Silva their primary target of the summer transfer window.
The 27-year-old has a contract with Milan until June 2016, but Barcelona is hopeful that an offer in the region of 30 million euros will be enough to lure him away from San Siro.
Nevertheless, it appears unlikely at this point that the Rossoneri are willing to part company with their star defender for 30m euros as they are believed to have set an asking price close to 50m euros for Thiago Silva.
