Former Gunners captain Fabregas, who spent eight years in north London, has expressed his delight at the move, stating on Twitter: "I'm so happy to hear that my mate Santi Cazorla is finally a gooner. Top guy, special player. A great signng! Come onnn!"
Cazorla made a name for himself at Villareal before securing a 20m euro move to cash-rich Malaga last summer.
There has been increased uncertainty regarding the club’s financial future in recent weeks, with the possibility of relegation to the Spanish second division, should debts remain unpaid.
Cazorla, who has been linked with Arsenal throughout the summer, has now officially joined the club and will link up with his new teammates in Germany prior to their preseason friendly against Cologne.
