Juanjo Gonzalez's improving side welcome Atleti, unbeaten in their last five matches, to El Sardinero as each side searches for an invaluable victory for contrasting reasons

Racing Santander earned a vital point in their last outing against Levante, but after Villarreal's victory, the Cantabrians find themselves in the bottom three when they welcome Atletico Madrid to El Sardinero.
Juanjo Gonzalez will welcome back Tono and Cisma after both missed the 1-1 draw against Levante through suspension, but Racing's Francis faces a late fitness test. Meanwhile, January signing Khouma Babacar could be included in the squad but has had little training in the past week so is likely to miss out.
Atletico Madrid visit El Sardinero having kept a clean sheet in every mach in which Diego Simeone has taken charge. However, he will be forced to change his defence following Miranda's suspension, whilst Diego Godin picked up an injury in their 0-0 draw against Valencia making him a doubt.
Diego Costa and Antonio Lopez have both been ruled out through injury, whilst Silvio remains a doubt as Los Rojiblancos look to continue to climb up La Liga table in pursuit of a Champions League spot.

Sitting in front of the back four, Diop will have a important job if Racing are take anything from this game as he will have to work hard to keep the likes of Arda Turan, Diego and Adrian quiet. A near impossible task at present.

With Atleti's attacking trio playing well together once again Falcao has been given many chances to score and Diego Simeone's side getting a result will depend on the Columbians ability to convert those opportunities to score.
