Goal.com rates the players on show in Los Che's dominant La Liga victory at Mestalla on Sunday evening
By Roger Gonzalez
Earning his first start since October of last year, the Spanish goalkeeper made a fine early save from De las Cuevas but had little to do for the remainder of the match.
The French defender had little work to do as his side controlled the ball throughout. Made more of an impact in attack, setting up Jonas with a brilliant cross in added time.
Making a start in place of the suspended Victor Ruiz, Dealbert was involved in celebrating the opening goal but was left as a spectator in defence, just like Rami.
Got forward plenty, working well with Tino Costa to advance with diagonal passes towards the corner. Subbed off in the second half.
Made a few stops in defence and provided some quality crosses, including the assist on Feghouli's strike. Involved throughout the match, it was a positive showing for the French player.
The former Benfica man was lively down the right, joining the attack time and time again, connecting early on with Aduriz, who almost put his side up.
Sturdy as usual, the veteran played passes wide and made a few tackles in the middle. Made no mistakes and was a physical presence.
The young winger moved around well in space, providing plenty of passing options for his teammates, while also putting his team ahead with a glorious striker from the top of the box. Set up the second with a strike that resulted in an own goal.
The Argentine did not pose much of a threat on goal but did have a great effort in the second half that was saved. He managed to pass the ball around and contribute going forward but did not get the amount of shots he surely wanted.
Missing in action during the first half, the star striker should have scored on a couple occasion in the second. He will surely look to be more of a factor midweek.
Getting the start with his recent success, the former Mallorca man was always a threat but wasted four golden chances and was taken off in the second half.
Brought on late to eat up a little time.
Came on for Aduriz with 20 minutes to go and did much more than the Spaniard, finding the goal twice in added time to put the game away.
Late sub that helped his team control the ball even more.
The custodian could do little to stop Feghouli's powerful strike but did well to keep out a powerful effort from Costa in the second half. Was let down by his defenders on the remaining goals.
The talented defender stood his ground and cleared out various crosses from the wings, while also contributing with tackles and headers in the air but knocked the ball into his own net in the second half. Out of place on the late goals also.
The defender couldn't do anything to contain Feghouli's goal as he looked for a cross in the middle of the box and was not much involved as Botia did the majority of the work. He did manage to contain Soldado on a few occasions though but disappeared late.
Picked up an injury in the first half and was substituted.
Saw little of the ball as Valencia dominated. Ran around, chasing the ball and chances. Poor showing, but not all his fault. Subbed off late.
Was strong in the centre of the pitch as Valencia looked to play the ball wide. Made a few stops to stop the counters of the home side. Decent effort.
Did well to maintain possession of the ball going forward but was frustrated by the home defence on numerous occasions, failing to make much of an impact. Taken off in the second half.
Rivera saw more action, but Eguren positioned himself well to push Valencia back, but in the end he conceded too much ground to the hosts.
A step slow to Mathieu and Alba, seeing the former set up Feghouli in the first half. An all-round uninspiring performance.
Tested Guaita early with a curving effort towards the back post that was saved well, but did little afterwards.
The team could have just played with 10 men. Little difference would have been seen as the lone striker was hardly involved as Valencia controlled possession.
Came on in the first half for Canella and managed to help a bit in gaining control of the ball.
Subbed on to make an impact in 15 minutes but did not get involved much as Valencia blew the game open.
Second-half substitute who never got into rhythm
