Euro 2004 champions Greece are in Pot Two alongside the likes of the Czech Republic and Turkey, while Scotland's dismal World Cup qualifying campaign sees them in Pot Three. Although Slovenia have reached next year's World Cup finals at the expense of Russia, they remain in Pot Four.

Montenegro will make their bow in the European Championships qualifying stage, having finished fifth in their World Cup qualifying group. Zoran Filipovic's side are among the teams in Pot Five, with the continent's minnows in Pot Six.
