Milan CEO Galliani Skeptical Over Jankulovski - Mancini Swap Deal With Inter
The Rossoneri executive has joked it’s too smart a move to be completed…
By Vince Masiello
“Considering both clubs’ needs, it would seem like a smart solution,” Galliani told Sky Sport Italia yesterday.
“But that’s exactly why it is not going to happen…”
Press reports suggested yesterday that Inter and Milan were considering exchanging the two players who have both become unsettled with their lack of playing time in the first half of the season.
Milan were held to a 1-1 draw by lowly Livorno yesterday and failed to close in on Serie A leaders Inter whose game with Parma was postponed due to bad weather.
“It’s too bad,” sighed Galliani. “We could have moved to within six points of Inter, but the ball refused to get into the net.
“It’s a shame that we wasted this opportunity, but let’s carry on like this as we are still second and have a game in hand.”
