On the final day of the winter transfer window, there was plenty of movement as expected. Goal.com brings you all the details.

First of all, we already know seldom-used Inter winger Amantino Mancini made his way to AC Milan on loan, while veteran Martin Jorgensen left Fiorentina to return to Denmark. But what happened at the 11th hour?

After missing out on Cristian Ledesma and dismissing the arrival of Fabio Simplicio, as expected, Inter officially tied up Parma's Kenyan midfielder McDonald Mariga.

Cagliari
announced that their co-ownership agreement with Albinoleffe over Italian international goalkeeper Federico Marchetti was terminated early and the player is now fully owned by the Serie A club.

Meanwhile, according to the player's agent, Gilmar Rinaldi, and TV Globo, Sao Paulo defender Andre Dias has joined Lazio for €2.5 million on a three-and-a-half year deal. Meanwhile, the Biancocelesti also acquired Giuseppe Biava from Genoa.

Palermo tied up a deal for two young guns in DC United's Afriyie Acquah and Chievo's 18-year-old defender Ionut Florin Radu. Speaking of the Flying Donkey's, they reinforced their side with the signing of Italy Under-21 midfielder Tommaso Bianchi from Piacenza.

Struggling Atalanta brought in a defensive reinforcement in the form of Henri Toivomaki, arriving on loan from Finnish side Lahti. Another outfit having difficulties - Siena - convinced Torino to sell them veteran defender Francesco Pratali.

Meanwhile, Parma, a breeding ground for young talents, snapped up Serbian teenager Nemanja Covic from Proleter.

Further south, surprise package Bari took in former Reggina midfielder Alessio Sestu from Vicenza on loan with the right of redemption at the end of the 2009-10 campaign.

As for those who almost left their clubs, the previously mentioned Ledesma rejected the chance to join Genoa and Uruguayan striker Marcelo Zalayeta opted to stay with Bologna, rather than move to Siena.

I nipped over to Facebook during half time to pick the brains of our readers, asking 'can Arsenal find a way back into this?'

Olaleye Samsideen Olamide said: “I don't think so. Not with the way the Gunners are playing. Lets see what happens...”

Athos Gomes Fonseca was less forgiving, stating: “Arsenal confirmed as football's biggest joke.”

Harmed Hordeday Dewale on the other hand, said: “Arsenal can still come back and score, but only if Wenger gets rid of Ramsey and Oxlade-Chamberlain is added to the attack.”

Fair play, Harmed. But what about this atrocious defending we're being subjected to?

GOOOOOOOOOOAL MILANOOOO!

And that takes it to 3-0 Milan! Robinho makes full use of a slip from Vermaelen on the edge of the area, utilising the space to good effect, lashing home to... dare I say it... put this clash beyond doubt.

Great finish from the Brazilian!

Meanwhile, deputy editor Carlo Garganese had this to say:

"There has only been one team in this game so far. Milan have been utterly dominant in every department.

"Thiago Silva has snuffed out Robin van Persie, van Bommel & Nocerino have bossed the midfield, while Ibrahimovic, Robinho and Boateng have caused problems every time they have touched the ball.

"Arsenal are lucky to only be 2-0 down, defensively they are all over the place - they are pushing up when they should be holding, going narrow when they should be cutting out Abate and Antonini on the flanks, and generally getting everything wrong tactically.

"Ibrahimovic in particular is toying with the Arsenal team, with opponents bouncing off him. He created Robinho's goal beautifully, and could have had two more assists for Boateng and Antonini. Finally Ibra has shown up! Great first half for Milan."

"The only disappointment for Milan at half-time is that they are not more than two up," Kris conintues.

"Ibrahimovic is running the show, and the Arsenal back four are just letting him get on with it. Arsene Wenger has to turn to drastic measures now if his side are to have any hope of remaining in this tie.

"One goal for the Gunners could give them a great chance going back to the Emirates, but on what we've seen so far it looks unlikely that they'll stop more going back Wojciech Szczesny, let alone grab one at the other end."
