Fiorentina defender Manuel Pasqual still has strong hopes about the Viola progressing to the final of the Coppa Italia, despite the Gigliati being defeated 1-0 in the first leg of the semi-finals against Inter.

The 27-year-old believes that if the side play as aggressively as they did on Wednesday evening, they can put the Nerazzurri under pressure.

"We will start the second leg at a disadvantage, but if we play with the same ferocity and aggressiveness that we did earlier tonight, we can overcome this and play in the final," Pasqual stated to Viola Channel after the match.

"The team was able to put Inter under pressure in the middle of the park. We also wanted to demonstrate that the Fiorentina of the last few weeks in the league is not the same Fiorentina we know, and want to play like.

"It was a shame that we could not have equalised, as it would have made our lives easier in the return leg in Florence," summed up Pasqual.
