After watching his Milan outfit fall even further behind league leaders Inter following the 0-0 draw with Bologna, coach Leonardo bemoaned a failure to score.

“It isn’t the first time when we have struggled to score this season,” he declared to SkySport shortly after the game.

“This afternoon we made some improvements on our recent performance but we came up against a well-organised Bologna side.

“We did everything right this afternoon, but it was one of those days when the goal simply wouldn’t come.

“I can take nothing away from my men this afternoon as I think they gave all they could to try and bring home the points.”
