Amantino Mancini says Milan "are on the right track" despite dropping more points in Serie A.

Mancini made his debut against Bologna on Sunday in a 0-0 draw which means his side are now 10 points behind leaders Inter, the Brazilian's parent club.

But, in a show of faith, he focused on the positives.

"I am really happy to be playing again, but my debut didn't bring the result the group had wanted," he told the club's official website.

"The team tried everything, but we were unable to score.

"We are on the right track and I think we can do important things."

Mancini is confident that hard work will pay off.

"We have been working hard in training and now we have to continue like this," he added.

"We must maintain this will and attitude because all we need now is a good result."

Milan have scored just one goal in their last four games. Their last win was on January 17 when they beat Siena 4-0.
