Former Italy Star Giuseppe Signori Has Faith In Fiorentina Striker Alberto Gilardino
The World Cup 1994 participant suggests that Gilardino's struggles will soon come to an end...
By Adam Scime
Without his goals, the Viola have slipped to 11th place in Serie A. However, former Italy, Lazio, and Bologna hitman Giuseppe Signori is confident that the 27-year-old will soon be back amongst the goals.
"There are moments that strikers live through, for one reason or another, where the ball will just not go in," he told Firenzeviola.it.
"It's true that attackers live to score goals, but especially in today's football I think it is important to play for the team, as Gilardino does. If I were Gilardino, I would be calm, because he has the qualities to emerge from this situation.
"Gilardino will be back again scoring soon, as we have been accustomed to for years."
Fiorentina visit the Stadio Luigi Ferraris on Saturday evening to take on in-form Sampdoria.
