Sampdoria forward Giampaolo Pazzini is hoping to be fully-fit to play against his former side Fiorentina this weekend.

"I am feeling a little better, and am hopeful that I can play on Saturday night," the 25-year-old stated to Corriere Dello Sport.

"Playing at Fiorentina for four years was important to me, but when the referee blows the whistle to start the match, I will forget everything, and focus on getting the three points for my team," he concluded.

Pazzini has scored 11 goals in 23 Serie A matches this term.
