Milan Ready To Sack Leonardo - Report
The Diavoli are flirting with Spanish duo Juande Ramos and Rafa Benitez…
By Vince Masiello
Rumours coming out of Spain claim that the Via Turati powers that be have already drawn up a short-list of potential replacements which includes Liverpool boss Rafa Benitez, who is also on Juventus' radar, and former Real Madrid boss Juande Ramos, who is free after being sacked by CSKA Moscow last October.
Leonardo took the reins last summer amid widespread scepticism over the club’s decision to entrust the inexperienced Brazilian with the task of succeeding Carlo Ancelotti.
But ‘Leo’ proved his critics wrong after an indifferent start to the season only to see his side run out of steam in recent weeks after their title hopes faded in the wake of a 2-0 loss to city rivals Inter in the Derby della Madonnina.
The upcoming Champions League last 16 tie with English champions Manchester United could decide his future, but it looks highly unlikely that Milan will hand him the pink slip at the end of the season unless they miss out on a top three finish in Serie A.
