Gennaro Gattuso's jeep, which he had stolen in 2006, has been recovered and returned to Italian authorities.

According to La Repubblica, the Range Rover was taken to Albania, where it had been in circulation since it was taken from Italian shores four years ago.

In November a man was arrested by Albanian police after they discovered the car had appeared reported as stolen on their database.

Police reports suggest the car was driven to Albania by an Italian who had changed the number plates.

The car has now been returned to Italy and is in possession of the authorities.
