Calgiari midfielder Andrea Cossu has rubbished the rumours that have been circulating about him joining Spanish giants Barcelona in the summer.

The 29-year-old believes that they are more of a fantasy than an actual, possible reality.

"We can all have a big laugh, as I am not being watched by Barcelona," the Isolani midfielder stated to TMW. "It is all a fantasy.

"I am doing very well here at Cagliari, as the side is part of my city.

"The applause that we received [after the 3-1 win over Bari] was very generous by the fans, as we did not expect that. But the important thing is that the side is winning, and playing good football.

"We near our target of 40 points with the win - and our salvation," concluded Cossu.

The Rossoblu now sit on 35 points.
