It has been confirmed that the Lega Calcio have suspended Inter coach Jose Mourinho for three matches following his actions during the 0-0 stalemate against Sampdoria on Saturday.
Inter had two men sent off in the first-half, defenders Walter Samuel and Ivan Cordoba, prompting the Portuguese tactician to later make a gesture like he was in handcuffs. He also began laughing hysterically when Samuel Eto'o was booked for a dive in the penalty area.
The sporting judge Giampaolo Tosel imposed the three match ban as he believed that the ex-Chelsea boss was "repeatedly challenging the officials through blatant actions."
The suspension is also applied due to "using insulting expressions towards the referees and his assistants" and "questioning the presence of the federal prosecutors by the Inter and Sampdoria benches during the second-half of the game."
Mourinho has also been fined €40,000.
Meanwhile, more bans have been handed out to the Nerazzurri players. For their red cards, both Samuel and Cordoba will miss one Serie A match, but midfielders Esteban Cambiasso and Sulley Muntari will be banned for two league matches.
The Argentine reportedly tried to punch a Sampdoria player on his way to the dressing room at half-time, while the Ghana international repeatedly insulted match officials when being substituted off the pitch.
