However, Cagliari had Radja Nainggolan show the exit in the 71st minute and Chievo went ahead just seven minutes later when Pablo Granoche netted the ball. The Veronese side held on for a morale-boosting 2-1 win at home.
Genoa 3-4 Bologna
David Suazo gave Genoa the lead in the eighth minute but three minutes later Bologna restored parity through Antonio Busce. Then in the 18th minute Giuseppe Sculli made it 2-1 to the hosts only for Martins Adailton to make it 2-2 ten minutes later.
However, the Grifone went 3-2 up at the break as Suazo netted his second goal of the match on 38 minutes. But three minutes before the hour mark Adailton scored his second of the match and with 11 minutes remaining scored from the spot to complete his hat-trick and to lead Bologna to a sensational 4-3 win in Genoa.
Livorno 1-2 Siena
Livorno went ahead as early as the 10th minute when Cristiano Lucarelli successfully converted a penalty kick. But the hosts had Davide Moro sent off just six minutes into the second half and from then on, Siena looked to be in control. The Tuscan side equalised through Emanuele Calaio in the 79th minute and won the match with a late winner from Massimo Maccarone.
Parma 1-0 Sampdoria
Sampdoria's great run of results in Serie A came to a halt on Sunday afternoon in Parma as they went down 1-0. The only goal of the match came in the 54th minute through Cristian Zaccardo.
