Milan striker Alexandre Pato suffered a serious thigh strain against Atalanta in Serie A on Sunday afternoon. The Brazilian international scored twice against the relegation candidates in the Rossoneri's 3-1 home victory that keeps them second in the league standings, four points behind leaders Inter.

The 20-year-old suffered the strain in his right thigh in the 80th minute and was immediately stretchered off the pitch.

It's not clear for how long Pato will be out of action but early estimates suggest that he could miss a significant amount of time.
