After falling short to the skills of Milan’s samba stars this afternoon, Atalanta hitman Simone Tiribocchi praised opposite number Alexandre Pato for a destructive performance in front of goal.

“It is a shame we lost this afternoon as we started on the right foot,” the hitman declared to Tuttomercatoweb.

“Instead we were unable to secure what could have been a very precious result.

“The turning point in the game has to be the penalty, which cut our legs off just as we were starting to run.

“This afternoon [Alexandre] Pato was in destructive form and sometimes champions like this can secure the result by themselves.

“Now we simply cannot afford to make any more mistakes. If we don’t win, then we are doomed.”
