Welcome to our statistical round up for week 26 of Serie A. Juventus' problems have resurfaced following Alberto Zaccheroni's first defeat since taking charge. It's a different story in Milan though as Inter and the Rossoneri continue to pull away.

Catania 4-0 Bari

Catania continued their fight for survival with a stunning win against Bari. They hadn’t beaten Bari in five years, with their last win coming in September 2005 when they won 2-0 at the San Nicola. In 10 games against the Galletti, Catania have won five, lost four and drawn once – that was a 0-0 in the reverse this season. Bari’s dreadful form continues. They have now lost four of their last five game, conceding 10 goals, and scoring just one during those games.

Lazio 1-1 Fiorentina

Both teams have been struggling of late with just one win each in their last five games. It was a game of firsts for the goalscorers with both Sebastiano Siviglia and Keirrison grabbing their first goals of the season. This game also ended in a 1-1 draw back in May 2005, prior to that you have to go back to May 1999 to find the same result.

Chievo 2-1 Cagliari

Slowly but surely, Chievo are starting to dream again. They are just five points off the European places. De Paula and Granoche scored their first goals of the season for Chievo to earn them their second win in as many games. Cagliari have now lost three of their last four matches.

Genoa 3-4 Bologna

Bologna continue to fly away from home. They have won 10 points from their last four games on the road. They came back from behind three times against Genoa, such is the form being enjoyed by Franco Colomba’s side. No other team in Serie A has won more points away from home in the same period.

Livorno 1-2 Siena

Rock-bottom Siena are starting to show signs of a recovery from their previous dire form, winning twice and drawing once in their last five games. Prior to that stint they had endured a seven-match losing streak. Livorno have now been dragged into the drop zone following a seven-game winless run. The last time Siena won this clash was in 2005 when the game ended 6-3.

Milan 3-1 Atalanta

Ronaldinho missed his third penalty of the season, but it didn’t stop the Rossoneri from keeping the pressure on Inter. It’s now four wins in four Serie A games for Leonardo’s side to make February a winning month for them in Italy. Alexandre Pato’s double now makes him the club’s leading goal scorer on 12 so far. Marco Borriello and Ronaldinho are behind him with 10 strikes each. Atalanta stay in the drop zone.

Napoli 2-2 Roma

Roma’s seven-match winning streak came to an end against Napoli, but they are unbeaten in 16 in Serie A with 12 wins and four draws, as they have not lost since October 28 when they went down against Udinese 2-1. For Napoli, Morgan De Sanctis conceded at home for the first time in 536 minutes. The last person to score at the San Paolo prior to this game was Bari’s Andrea Ranocchia.

Parma 1-0 Sampdoria

The Ducali ended their miserable nine-game winless stretch after Christian Zaccardo’s fine left-foot strike handed them a win. It was his third goal of the season. He has now scored as many as striker Jonathan Bianbiany has in 18 games! Sampdoria lost for the first time in six matches. It’s the first time they have failed to score since losing 1-0 to Napoli on January 10.

Udinese 2-3 Inter

Inter have now gone unbeaten against Udinese in their last 12 meetings in the league both at home and away. The last time Inter lost to Udinese was in 2004 when the game ended 2-0 at San Siro. Luciano Spalletti was the Bianconeri coach in that game. In 32 games on the road under Jose Mourinho, Inter have won 18, lost six and drawn eight for a record of 62 points.

Juventus 0-2 Palermo

Palermo have set a new record after beating Juventus, as they had never won against them and Milan in the same season before. The Rosanero beat Milan 2-0 at the San Siro in December. The Sicilians have now beaten Juve in four of their last five meetings. They've won twice in two games in Turin, and twice this term. For Juve, this was Alberto Zaccheroni’s first loss since taking over from Ciro Ferrara. Before this match Juventus had won three and drawn three across the Serie A and Europa League formats.
