The agent and brother of Lazio striker Mauro Zarate has flying to Rome to have talks with Biancoceleste coach Edy Reja, over why his client has been left on the bench for the second time in three matches.

Sergio Zarate is demanding answers from Reja over his choice to leave Mauro on the bench, believing that if he is surplus, the tactician should just "openly" declare it.

"I am leaving for Rome to speak with Lazio officials about the Mauro's actual situation," Sergio Zarate told TMW. "The coach can decide whether to use him or not, but he must explain his reasonings behind this decision to me.

"If [Reja] believes that he does not need Mauro, he should say it openly," added Zarate.

Lazio sit in 17th place on 26 points.
