Lazio striker Mauro Zarate has shaken hands on a pact with coach Edy Reja which states he must play simple football for the team, according to Il Corriere Dello Sport.

Zarate was snubbed for last week's game against Fiorentina after supposedly not playing to Reja's requests. He missed the full 90 minutes, something that had never happened to him before in Serie A.

A meeting between the two men took place at Formello on Tuesday, when Reja told his striker what he expects from him to obtain regular action; no more dribbling, but playing more openly and helping the team when needed was the order.

Reja doesn't mind the odd dribble or two, but he has become angry when Zarate does it all the time. It is said Zarate agreed with the request from his coach, and he should start the game against Sampdoria on Sunday.

Last month Reja said: "Zarate is like Ezequiel Lavezzi - he doesn't pass the ball."
