Walter Gargano says Napoli are targeting Coppa Italia triumph
The Uruguayan midfielder has highlighted the importance of winning the Coppa Italia as a way to compensate for the club's disappointing Serie A form
By Luis Mira
The San Paolo outfit take on Siena on Thursday in the semi-finals of the competition after moving past Inter in the previous stage.
Napoli have been in disappointing form in Serie A this season as they lie in seventh position, and Gargano wants his team to go all the way in the Coppa Italia.
"Against Siena we will face a side who close down very well, it will be a hard match," Gargano told reporters at a press conference.
"The Serie A draw at the Stadio Artemio Franchi [in January] will not affect us. We must do better than what we did 20 days ago.
"We are a group that has been together for many years, we have been growing on a constant basis and it would be great to be able to win something."
