Levski Sofia are reportedly on the verge of signing Souleymane Diamoutene from Lecce.

The Bulgarian outfit first spoke with the Mali international and his Serie A employers last month but the proposed deal did not come to fruition.

However, according to widespread reports in the Bulgarian media, Levski have now agreed terms with both player and club and the transfer is set to go through once the defender completes a medical.

It is claimed that Diamoutene has agreed a two-year contract with Levski worth €4,000 per week.

The 29-year-old has been a Lecce player since 2004 but he has spent the best part of the last three years out on loan and has been deemed surplus to requirements by coach Serse Cosmi.
