Anzhi Makhachkala have reportedly set their sights on acquiring the services of Inter playmaker Wesley Sneijder.

According to Tuttosport, the Russian club's billionaire owner, Suleyman Kerimov, is willing to stump up sufficient cash to persuade the Nerazzurri to part company with the Netherlands international.

The attacking midfielder, who was linked with a move to Manchester United last summer, has struggled for both form and fitness this season and coach Claudio Ranieri recently admitted that he is not yet sure how best to use the Dutchman in his preferred 4-4-2 system.

There is an apparent acceptance that Anzhi could find it difficult to convince the player to move to Russia but they are reportedly willing to offer Sneijder a contract worth €10 million per season and are hoping that the 27-year-old could be swayed by striker Samuel Eto'o, who made the move from San Siro last summer.

Sneijder joined Inter from Real Madrid in 2009 and played a key role in the club's treble win the following year.
