Real Madrid To Swoop For Tottenham's Gareth Bale In January - Report
Real Madrid are reportedly in line to make a move for Tottenham wide man Gareth Bale in January.
The Welshman had to subsequently endure a lean patch where he was used as a fringe player at White Hart Lane, but an injury sustained by Benoit Assou-Ekotto last season saw him being thrust into the thick of the action.
Since then the wide man's stock has risen steeply, with the young player putting in outstanding performances in his now role on the left flank this term.
In the meantime, Real were thought to have been interested in procuring the services of the Wales international during the summer, but it did not reach fruition as the summer transfer window came to a close.
Now The Mirror reports that the Spanish giants are set to make a move for the 21-year-old in the next transfer window.
Bale has a contract at White Hart Lane until 2014.
