Inter's January transfer market will be shaped by the Premier League and first on the list is Tottenham's Gareth Bale.

President Massimo Moratti has confirmed new policies on players will revolve around signing youngsters and he suggested additions will be made in the new year.

"I said this year that we would be relying on young players and we have focused on getting the best," he told the press.

"Buying just for the sake of it is not the case, but someone will arrive during the year."

And La Gazzetta dello Sport claims that will be Bale. The 21-year-old Welsh left-back is wanted at Rafael Benitez's behest.

However, his €17 million price tag represents a familiar problem for the Nerazzurri, who have become careful with spending.

They could decide to throw in Sulley Muntari as part of the deal in an attempt to lower the fee. Luca Antonelli of Parma and Gokhan Inler are also on the list.

Udinese's Inler said on Monday he was "not affected" by his failure to join the Nerazzurri in the summer after the transfer failed.
