Real Madrid forward Gonzalo Higuain has revealed he wants to do it all this year and claim both the Champions League title with Real Madrid and the World Cup with Argentina.

“In 2010 I hope to win the Champions League with Real Madrid and also, to play and win the World Cup with Argentina,” he told uefa.com.

The former River Plate man has only recently burst onto the international scene. Despite his excellent form for Real Madrid, Argentina coach Diego Maradona repeatedly refused to call-up the dynamic forward, amid rumours that 'El Diego' doubted Higuain’s patriotism.

Having finally made his long-awaited international bow towards the end of last year in Argentina’s World Cup qualifying games against Peru and Uruguay, the Real Madrid striker spoke of his delight at finally being a part of Maradona's squad.

"My favourite moments of 2009 were my debut with Argentina and qualifying to play in the 2010 World Cup,” before adding his club form had also been a source of great joy, “and becoming Real Madrid's top scorer made me very happy. We are growing as a team this season."
