Barcelona President Laporta: It Hurt Us To See Real Madrid Use Lionel Messi In Cristiano Ronaldo Appeal

Ronaldo was dismissed in last week's win over Malaga at the Bernabeu after his arm connected with the face of Danish defender Patrick Mtiliga, resulting in a two match suspension.
In a bid to bolster their appeal, Madrid reportedly used footage of a similar incident involving Messi and Marc Valiente from Barca's clash with Sevilla a week previously, much to Laporta's dismay. The outgoing club president did add that the incident would not strain relations between Spanish football's top two.
"It is true that it hurt us that they used [Lionel] Messi. We did not like that but it will not interfere with relations of harmony and respect between the two clubs," he told AS.
"What we know is it is wrong to involve Messi, because he is honest and loves football. He is a player who is not controversial and is humble. He meets all the requirements to be considered the best player in the world."
