Valencia Star David Villa Not Looking Beyond This Season
El Guaje insists he is happy at the club...
By Paul Madden
Villa has long been linked with a move away from the Mestalla, particularly in the wake of financial unrest at the club but the 28-year-old striker insists he is happy to remain at the club.
"There is not much time until June and right now my mind, my legs and my heart are focused on the daily work," he told Super Deporte.
"People can see every day that I am very happy at Valencia, very committed and working hard to achieve the objectives that we set.
"Right now, the goal is to qualify for the Champions League and we are working towards that. I have four years left on my contract until 2014. Once the season finishes we'll see how it went and when we sit down we will look at things for the good of Valencia. I have a good relationship with current leaders and I am assured that everything will be done in the right way."
