Atletico Madrid striker Diego Forlan has stated that he loves finding the net versus Barcelona, in the build-up to tonight’s crunch clash at the Vicente Calderon.
The Uruguayan has netted nine goals in eight matches against the Catalan giants, admitting that they are one of the teams he enjoys scoring against more than most.
However, last season's Pichichi winner also took time to praise the quality of Pep Guardiola’s side, whom he rates highly.
El Mundo Deportivo reports that the 30-year old said, “I like to score against Barcelona. They have great players. They are the best team in the World, but we have the motivation to play against this team at home.
“Offensively Barcelona are a team that plays the ball well. [Lionel] Messi is great, but I really like how they play though the team using Xavi and [Andres] Iniesta.”
Forlan had been linked with the move to Barcelona in the summer after bagging 32 goals in 38 Primera Division matches last season for Los Colchoneros, and has recently dismissed fresh speculation linking him with a move away from the club in the summer transfer window.
