Catalunya coach Johan Cruyff spoke today, in comments reported by Sport, of Barcelona's Liga defeat to Atletico de Madrid in the Vicente Calderon on Sunday evening. The former Barca coach believes that the Blaugrana's unbeaten streak "had to end someday" and also warned that "one should not attribute the loss to the many injuries in the squad".
Analysing the defeat, Cruyff believes that Barca's problem was conceding "too many losses of possesion from the midfield and too little movement in attack", allowing the opposing team to launch quick and threatening counterattacks.
However, Cruyff was convinced that Barca will take a step forward from their loss and that it will not affect their future matches, reminding all that "the Liga leadership has not changed hands".
