Valencia defender Bruno has declared that he is aiming to return to action on Monday when Los Che take on Racing Santander at the Mestalla.

Bruno suffered a sprained ankle in the 1-1 draw away to Sporting Gijon on February 13 and was expected to be out of action for around a month.

With Unai Emery's defensive options already stretched it now appears that the 29-year-old right back will rush back to action for Monday's game with captain Carlos Marchena and second choice right back Miguel both suspended.

"I will try to be there [on Monday] as it is a difficult time for the team," Bruno told Super Deporte.

Bruno's return to fitness will be a boost for Los Che with a testing trip to Barcelona next on the agenda after Racing before resuming Europa League duties against Werder Bremen.
