Getafe Propose Nikola Zigic - Roberto Soldado Swap Deal To Valencia - Report
The Madrid club want to discuss a potential striker trade...
By Paul Macdonald
AS comments that the Azulones are looking for a replacement for prolific striker Roberto Soldado, who looks set to leave the club in the close season, and has earmarked Serbian as a possible replacement.
The 29-year old moved to Valencia in the summer of 2007 for a fee of £20m from Racing Santander, and Los Che will demand at least half of that fee to be encouraged to sell. Zigic still have two years to run on his current deal at the Mestalla.
It is also suggested however that rather than stump up such a substantial fee, Getafe are interested at the prospect of a potential swap deal involving Zigic and Soldado.
The former Real Madrid striker was linked with a move to the English Premier League during the January transfer window but it is understood that is his preference to remain in Spain.
Valencia are resigned to losing David Villa in the summer following the World Cup, and would see Soldado as an ideal replacement to El Guaje.
